Achievements of ICCONS
Since the inception of the BASLP course in 2001, ICCONS has established itself as a leader in academic excellence and clinical education, consistently securing the majority of university ranks from both Calicut University (2001-2010) and KUHS (2010 onwards). Across the 20 batches of BASLP graduates since 2001, ICCONS has produced an impressive 17 university rank holders—from Teena Alex and Soumya C Chandran in the early 2000s to recent achievers like Sherin Joy, Jahana Sherin, Nidha Nazar, Kavya S Kumar, and Safa M. This remarkable record of rank holders reflects ICCONS’s enduring commitment to quality training, clinical service, and its pivotal role in shaping the future of speech and hearing sciences in Kerala.
At the Institute for Communicative and Cognitive Neurosciences (ICCONS), more than 35,000 cases have been registered, with a significant proportion being Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) cases.
