The Health Department has launched a comprehensive digital platform, the MeHEALTH app, to help the public easily find nearby government health institutions and the services available there. Through the app, users can locate nearby hospitals and access details about the services provided, including medical specialities, laboratory tests and their rates. Information about blood banks, pay wards, radiology services, and pharmacies in hospitals is also available.

The app also allows users to book appointments in advance at hospitals where the e-Health system has been implemented. In addition, details of nearby public health centres, government homeopathic hospitals and charitable pharmacies can be accessed through the “Nearby Service” option available in the MeHEALTH app.

To use the service, users need to install the MeHEALTH mobile app from the Google Play Store and log in using their phone number and OTP. By creating a Unique Health ID using Aadhaar, users can book OP tickets and doctor appointments online through the app. The application also shows the exact distance and route to the hospital and provides navigation through Google Maps to reach the facility easily.

To find nearby hospitals and services, users can click the “Nearby Service” option on the MeHEALTH home page. The “Find Institution” option helps locate hospitals within a 10-kilometre radius and shows the distance to each facility. By selecting “Find Speciality”, users can identify hospitals that provide speciality services such as cardiology and surgery. The “Find Services” option provides details about the nearest ambulance services, blood banks, laboratories, pay wards and radiology units.

Users can also locate nearby public health centres through the “Find JAK” option. The “Find Pharmacy” option helps identify the nearest pharmacy, while “Find Homoeopathy” provides details of nearby homoeopathy clinics. The app also allows users to book appointments directly while accessing these services.
