The Indian Systems of Medicine (ISM) Department in Kerala has started several district-level projects to support traditional healthcare and meet local health needs. These projects use Ayurveda, Siddha, and Unani to provide affordable and easy-to-access care. For example, AYURSAGARASANTHAWANAM offers OPD therapeutic treatment proceedures for fishermen with work related musculoskeletal injuries, VARNAYAM focuses on increasing the beauty and loveliness of the body. KUSRUTHI is a comprehensive multi- dimensional intervention on Attention Deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). These projects help Kerala include traditional medicine in public healthcare for better overall health.
