Healthy Beginnings: Pathanamthitta Cares for Every School Child
Bringing smiles and care to young learners, Pathanamthitta district continues its journey towards healthier childhoods through the Aksharam Arogyam programme.
As part of this initiative, the District Hospital, Kozhencherry, conducted a special health check-up camp at Government High School, Kozhencherry. Led by Dr. Asha Abraham, the camp focused on students from Classes 1 to 4, ensuring their health and well-being at an early stage.
A total of 21 children participated, where doctors checked important health indicators like height, weight, and vision. Children who needed further care were quickly identified and referred for follow-up treatment.
Simple yet impactful, this effort shows the Health Department’s commitment to early detection and timely care. Through Aksharam Arogyam, Pathanamthitta is gently shaping a healthier, brighter future.
