Tele Manas; Health Department with Tele Counseling Service to Ensure Mental Health
Tele Manas is a project implemented by the health department to ensure mental health by providing assistance for mental problems and related doubts. Mental health services including tele-counseling will be available through the scheme. The public can contact 14416, (BSNL) 18008914416 for 24*7 services. Counseling services for Emotional problems, behavioral problems, suicidal tendencies, doubts related to drug addiction treatment, psychological problems, doubts related to mental health treatment, and information about places where treatment is available can be obtained through Tele Manas.
20 counselors and mental health workers, including a psychiatrist, will be part of the project. As a first step, 5 councilors have been appointed. To ensure mental health for all, direct services through the 'Mental Health Programme' will also be provided as part of the scheme.
