309 Health Centres in the State Achieve NQAS Accreditation
Seven more health institutions in the State have been awarded National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) accreditation. The newly accredited institutions are: Family Health Centre, Chokli (Kannur) – 91.06%; Urban Primary Health Centre, Thanur (Malappuram) – 93.15%; Public Health Centre, Chala (Kannur) – 93.91%; Public Health Centre, Kachani (Thiruvananthapuram) – 93.08%; Public Health Centre, Karakulam (Thiruvananthapuram) – 91.73%; Public Health Centre, Karakulam Main Centre (Thiruvananthapuram) – 91.85%; and Public Health Centre, Panavalli (Alappuzha) – 93.04%.
With this achievement, the total number of NQAS-accredited health institutions in the State has risen to 309. These include 9 district hospitals, 8 taluk hospitals, 14 community health centres, 51 urban family health centres, 177 family health centres, and 50 public health centres.
