Kerala wins Travel + Leisure India’s ‘Best Wellness Destination’ award
Kerala, which attracts tourists from across the world through the excellence of Ayurveda and its rich healing traditions, has won Travel + Leisure India’s ‘Best Wellness Destination’ award. Kerala has been included in Travel + Leisure India’s Best Awards list for 2025.
Travel + Leisure India & South Asia selects winners based on readers’ voting, recognising excellence in the travel, lifestyle, and hospitality sectors. Travel + Leisure is a globally renowned travel media brand that enables people to experience the world in depth through its print and digital platforms.
Readers from around the world chose the award winners through online voting. Selections were made from hotels, tourist destinations, and lifestyle brands across various categories. Kerala’s natural beauty, Ayurvedic heritage, and other treatment systems offer tourists a refreshing and rejuvenating experience. This achievement will significantly support the growth of wellness tourism in Kerala.
To further strengthen Kerala’s Ayurveda and wellness tourism, the Tourism Department will organise the state’s first International Ayurveda–Wellness Conclave in Kozhikode in February 2026. The conclave aims to bring together leading experts from India and abroad and to reinforce Kerala’s leadership position in this sector.
