Kerala’s Government Homoeopathy Hospitals Achieve Complete Digitalization
In a major milestone for the public healthcare sector, all 34 Government Homoeopathy Hospitals in Kerala have completed 100% digitalization. Achieved by May 2026, this transformation aims to provide more transparent, efficient, and patient-friendly medical services to the public.
The transformation began in November 2023 with the launch of the Ayush Homoeopathy Information Management System (AHiMS) version 2.
In just 30 months, all hospitals and 93% of dispensaries have migrated to this unified digital platform.
Patients can now book appointments online through the AHiMS Public Portal. The portal offers tools that help individuals focus more proactively on their personal health.Users can share opinions and suggestions regarding hospital services directly through the portal. Paperless System: The shift to a digital interface has significantly improved internal hospital operations. Doctors can now quickly verify patient medical records and the real-time availability of medicines. Transparent data collection enables administrative authorities to make quicker and more informed decisions.
The success of this massive project is attributed to the guidance of Dr. Rajan N. Khobragade, Additional Chief Secretary (Health), and the leadership of Dr. M.P. Beena, Director of Homoeopathy. Beyond the technical achievement, Kerala aims to make public health services more accessible and people-centric by evolving with the times.
