Achievement

Three more health institutions in the state have received national quality accreditations. Thrissur General Hospital (94.27%) and Appad Janakiya Arogya Kendra, Wayanad (90.24%) have received the new National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) accreditation. In addition, Cheruthazham Family Health Centre, Kannur (90.80%) has received NQAS re-accreditation.

Thrissur General Hospital has also achieved NQAS (94.27%), MusQan (93.23%), and LaQshya certifications - for its Operation Theatre for Pregnant Women (94.32%) and Labour Room (90.56%).

With this, a total of 277 health centres in the state have received NQAS accreditation. These include 9 district hospitals, 8 taluk hospitals, 14 community health centres, 47 urban family health centres, 169 family health centres, and 30 community health centres.

So far, a total of 17 hospitals in the state have received LaQshya certification, including 3 medical colleges, 10 district hospitals, and 4 taluk hospitals.

In addition, 7 health institutions have received MusQan certification, comprising 2 medical colleges and 5 district hospitals.
