The launch of the Kerala Health Portal marks a significant step in transforming this commitment into a readily accessible public resource. By bringing together real-time information, data transparency, and service accessibility under one roof, the portal strengthens the link between the people and the health system they rightfully own. The portal also serves as a platform to highlight the achievements and ongoing efforts of the Department of Health and Family Welfare in expanding critical care services across the State. Our Government has prioritized the establishment of new dialysis units, cath labs, medical colleges as well as developing primary health care through ‘Janakeeyarogyakendrams’ and Family health centres to bring basic as well as advanced care closer to the people. We have also ensured that statutory measures such as the Kerala Public Health Act, Code Grey Protocol, and comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are developed promptly in response to emerging public health situations. These initiatives reflect a proactive and scientific approach to protecting the health of our citizens. Particular emphasis continues to be placed on supporting those below the poverty line and providing dedicated services for the elderly. Special queues, geriatric clinics, and inclusive welfare programs ensure that healthcare reaches every segment of society, upholding our commitment to social justice in health.
