HPV vaccination against cervical cancer to begin
The HPV vaccination drive for the prevention of cervical cancer among all 14-year-old girls in the state will commence on February 28. The vaccine is being administered as part of the national immunisation campaign. Eligible girls will receive a single dose of the HPV vaccine within a period of three months.
The vaccine will be provided free of cost at all government health centres. Fourteen-year-old girls can register through the U-WIN Portal or visit the nearest health centre directly. Registration is available at uwin.mohfw.gov.in/home.
For further details, contact the nearest health centre, health workers, or ASHA workers.
