RCC Infrastructure
The Regional Cancer Centre, Thiruvananthapuram has two campuses. The first campus is functioning in 6 acres of land and has 5 blocks. Currently all the services are provided in the first campus through the 5 blocks covering a total of 40,303 m2. A 14 storey building of more than 30,000 m2 is nearing completion in the same campus. Once completed, the building ensures sufficient space for patient management.
A modern patient welfare and service block was opened in the first campus in the year 2024 . The welfare block has all the facilities for patients and bystanders including a waiting lounge, cafeteria, clock room, stationary shop, free drug bank and a community pharmacy.
The second campus is located at Pulayanarkotta, nearly 2 kilometres away from the main campus, in a sprawling 11.8 acres of land where a plan of action for further expansion is gaining traction. In addition to this, three outreach centres located in Kollam, Ernakulam and Palakkad districts offer facilities such as early detection services , outreach cancer screening programmes and followup of RCC treated cancer patients from the respective districts.
