Arogyakiranam Project

 14 June 2025

The Arogyakiranam Project is a comprehensive healthcare initiative that provides medical services to children under the age of 18, all under one roof. This scheme goes beyond the 30 diseases covered under the Rashtriya Swastha Karyakram by offering treatment for all diseases. It is inclusive of all children, regardless of whether they fall under the Above Poverty Line (APL) or Below Poverty Line (BPL) categories.

Funding for the Arogyakiranam Project is sourced from the state government's plan fund. Under this scheme, children can access free medicines, tests, and treatments at all government hospitals. If specific treatments or medicines are unavailable at the hospital, they can be obtained free of charge from designated empaneled shops. To date, the Arogyakiranam scheme has benefited 19.5 million children.
