Some of our major achievements are:

• Comprehensive maternal and child health interventions enabling us to achieve lower under five and maternal mortality rates, comparable to most of the developed nations. 
• Pioneering disease control programs that have significantly reduced the burden of communicable diseases such as malaria, tuberculosis, HIV, leprosy and other vector borne diseases.
• Responsive and resilient health systems that successfully tackle emerging challenges including that of the COVID pandemic and other diseases NIPAH, ZICA, M Pox, KFD due to epidemiological and demographic transition and climate change. 
• Pioneer in major initiatives such as Anti Microbial Resistance stewardship, palliative care, digital health solutions and one health approach.
• Integrated interventions through Food Safety, Drug Controller and convergence through Local Self Government and other Departments and organizations at the grassroots. 
• Building partnership with the private sector and civil society.
