Health department launches Safe Hospital,Safe Campus initiative across medical colleges
The Health Department launched a month-long 'Safe Hospital, Safe Campus Campaign' in all medical college campuses and institutions under the Department of Medical Education in the state. The aim of the program is to ensure safety in hospitals by strengthening safety audits, ensuring that staff perform their responsibilities correctly, creating a patient-friendly environment, maintaining clean campuses, preventing infectious diseases, and providing students with disease-free learning facilities.
Teachers, students, technical staff, other staff, and volunteers will participate in the campaign. The safety of lifts and other equipment will be ensured under the supervision of Electrical AEs at respective locations. Various cleaning activities, including cleaning student hostels and premises, removing plants growing on hospital premises, and replacing old water tanks, will also be carried out as part of the campaign. After the completion of the first phase activities, a meeting will be held under the leadership of the medical college principals and superintendents to evaluate these activities and take further steps.
