Indradhanush 5.0; Comprehensive immunization for children and pregnant women
Indradhanush 5.0 scheme is implemented to ensure complete immunization of children up to 5 years of age and pregnant women in the state. Vaccination can be done in 3 stages: from August 7 to 12, September 11 to 16, and October 9 to 14 at health centers.
Mission Indradhanush aims to provide protection against diseases like diphtheria, chickenpox, tetanus, polio, tuberculosis, measles, and hepatitis B. It targets those who have been partially vaccinated and those who have not yet received vaccinations, allowing them to complete the immunization process in these 3 steps.
The immunization program for children is carried out through data collection, raising awareness, home visits, etc.
During the Covid outbreak, there was a decrease in the number of people taking up vaccines. The goal is to address this issue and build resistance against the diseases.
