Post Covid clinics will be started in all health institutions in Kerala in the current covid expansion scenerio in Kerala. Post covid services have been made available in all health institutions, from primary health care to medical colleges and private hospitals, as the state has a high incidence of Covid disease survivors. Kerala having the situation that the propotion of new infected persons are almost similar to the covid free persons. So the post covid clinics are essential to the public healthcare of population. Postcovid clinics will operate at primary health centers, family health centers and community health centers from 12 noon to 2 pm on Mondays and every day on general, district and taluk hospitals and medical colleges in private hospitals on management days.

Various reports indicate that Kovid survivors range from excessive fatigue and muscle aches to fatal heart disease and other lifestyle diseases. So far, more than seven lakh people in the state have sought treatment for post-covid diseases. Of these, 53,280 were diagnosed with lung, 8609 with heart disease, 19,842 with muscle pain, 7671 with neurological and 4568 with mental illness. 2732 people were referred for specialist treatment. 1294 people needed inpatient treatment. Government and private post-clinic clinics are run and supervised by special committees at the state, district and institutional levels. Post Kovid clinics can be approached directly at Taluk, District and General Hospitals or by phone or using e-Sanjeevani Telemedicine facility. Specialty services such as General Medicine, Cardiology, Respiratory Medicine, Neurology, Psychiatry, Pediatrics, Gynecology, Dermatology, ENT, Orthopedics and Physical Medicine are available here. Pulmonary rehabilitation services, including exercise training, awareness, and various tobacco cessation services, are also available for those with lung problems.
